Terms & Conditions of Sale
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by DB Paint Ltd, a company registered
in England and Wales (Company No. 11837375). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound
by these terms.
2. Definitions
‘Customer’ means a consumer as defined by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. ‘Services’ means all
repair, paint, or vehicle-related work undertaken by us. ‘Estimate’ means a non-binding indication of
price. ‘Quotation’ means a fixed agreed price.
3. Estimates and Quotations
All estimates are based on visible damage only and may change following further inspection.
Quotations are fixed unless additional work is authorised by you.
4. Booking and Contract Formation
A binding contract is formed only when we confirm your booking. You confirm all information
provided is accurate.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed. We reserve a lien over the vehicle until
full payment is received. Unpaid invoices may incur interest at 5% above Bank of England base
rate.
6. Additional Work
No additional work will be undertaken without your approval. We will inform you of any additional
costs before proceeding.
7. Timeframes
All timeframes are estimates only and not guaranteed.
8. Customer Responsibilities
You must remove all personal belongings. We are not responsible for loss of personal items.
9. Pre-Existing Damage
We are not liable for any pre-existing faults, defects, or deterioration unrelated to our work.
10. Paintwork and Repairs Warranty
Mechanical and general repairs are covered for 12 months or 12,000 miles. Paintwork is covered
for 3 years against defects in workmanship only.
11. Paint Limitations
Colour matching is completed to industry standards; exact match cannot be guaranteed due to
ageing and prior repairs. Normal wear, environmental damage, and misuse are excluded.
12. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes your statutory rights. Our liability is limited to the cost of
re-performing the services or refunding the amount paid where appropriate.
13. Cancellation
Deposits may be non-refundable where work has commenced or parts have been ordered.
Cancellations may incur reasonable charges.
14. Storage and Abandonment
Vehicles not collected within 5 days may incur storage charges. Vehicles left over 30 days may be
sold or disposed of to recover costs.
15. Courtesy Vehicles
Courtesy vehicles are provided at our discretion. You are responsible for any damage not covered
by insurance, including excess.
16. Insurance Work
We are not responsible for delays caused by insurers.
17. Data Protection
All personal data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
18. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our control.
19. Complaints
Complaints must be raised in writing within a reasonable timeframe.
20. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
